What made you decide to buy?
Designed for motorcycles for peace of mind
Manufactured by Japan manufacturer(Produced in China)
How was your experience with it?
As a countermeasure against errant driving and accidents (and with some hope that it could be used to record touring), I installed a Drorecorder.
The recording starts and ends in conjunction with Ignition ON/OFF.
The Recording Data is normally stored in the Always Recording folder of the SDCard for recording, and if you are impacted by an accident etc., it will be stored in the Shock Recording folder.
Occasionally, it may be saved as a shock recording even though it is not an accident, but you can change the setting for the sensitivity of the shock detection.
It is also possible to save the video to a manual recording folder by operating the Switch (by pressing the Button) with the Timing button on the etc. that received the scurrying drive.
However, the Button of this Switch is difficult to use with Gloves on, as it doesn't have a good feel to press on it (see the third photo in the post. The Blue Smaller Indicator blinks when manual recording starts, but if you pay too much attention to the Indicator, you'll have trouble driving...).
By the way, it is not possible to terminate manual recording (it will automatically terminate after a set amount of time) Spec.
As for the playback of the recorded Data, I'm splitting it up to do it with the dedicated PCSoft only, as the playback function of the dedicated smartphone app is not well received if you refer to the other imprecisions and reviews.
Dedicated PCSoft. "Main View/Subview. The Front/Rear or Rear/FrontCamera recording data will play in the column.
It's not a MODEL with GPS capability. "Movement history field office Speed and latitude display No Data appears in the column (see the fifth photo posted).
The recording data (File) is basically in 30-second units and is automatically connected and played back continuously on the dedicated PCSoft, but the video will be interrupted at the connection.
By the way, it is possible to play back the recorded data using video playback software other than the dedicated PCSoft if File unit.
The folder structure and File name spec. are described in the Instruction Manual.
Events (Shock and Manual) Recording Data is a Spec. that moves from the folder for constant recording to the folder for event recording when events occur.
Since this is not Copy, the recording data for the time period when events occur (in this example, 09:21:59 - 09:22:38) is not saved in the folder for constant recording (it's hard to understand, but see the 6th photo).
However, on the dedicated PCSoft "Always Recording. Since the recording Data for the time period in which events occur is also included in the FileList of "Always Recording. It is possible to play the game if you are a
The image quality of the recorded data is fine for Droreko, but I haven't mastered it yet, so I'd like to implead it again (see the fifth photo in the post, I'm hiding part of the License Plate).
At the moment. "Performance/Functions is rated 4 stars, but the rating may change in the future as we use it.
Also, I've only been using it for a short time. "durability" I have not yet rated the
Was the installation and setup difficult?
Installation of the camera and control switch itself is not difficult, but in the case of the 400X, you have to remove the middle cowl to wired the FrontCameraCable and Switch Harness, which is difficult and time-consuming (Quantity:(See the photo posted in 1pc. eyes)
I also had trouble with Wiring under Seat because of the lumpy Connector and code in CameraCableetc. (except for the Switch Harness code).
Especially the Cable of RearCamera has an extra length for Large, so I had a hard time wiring it.
As a result, I'm self-satisfied without the messy looking Wiring (^_^;)
When you do Setup, you need to connect to the Body through a dedicated smartphone app, but if you refer to the other imprecisions and reviews, you can see that I've been trying for hours, but I can't get a connection. I'm going to need to enter the airplane's MODE to make the connection. etc., were noted.
In my case. Wi-Fi is not connected to the Internet. I was able to connect to Body without any other problems.
Once you are able to connect to the body, it is not difficult to set up because all you have to do is operate the dedicated smartphone application while looking at the Construction Manual.
If you need help, you can contact MITSUBA's SupportPage at https://www.mskw.co.jp/motorcycle/edr/support/ FAQ. You may also find it helpful.
What is the point and hang of installation and setup?
The FrontCamera is mounted on the underside of the Front cowl (the beak-shaped part), but it was concave, so I used a homemade mounting bracket (https://imp.webike.net/photo/diary/63/1595559132663L.jpg) to It is installed (Quantity):(See the photo posted in 1pc. eyes)
The CameraCable is wired to the front cowl, inside the front cowl and the right middle cowl; along the front cowl and the right middle cowl and the right side of the frame and under the seat.
The extra CameraCable is stored between the Battery and the Air cleaner box.
It tried to install RearCamera on the underside of Rear Carrier, but since it interfered with High Mount Stop Lamp (https://imp.webike.net/article/0269225/) which has already been installed, it was not possible to install Stop lamp. Bracket and amon mounting Bracket (https://www.webike.net/sd/01353228/) are used to mount it on the underside of the Stop lamp.
The CameraCable is wiring along the Harness of the High Mount Stop Lamp to the bottom of the Seat (see the second photo in the post).
The leftover CameraCable is stored under Seat.
The control switch is attached to the master CylinderHolder to facilitate manual recording start-up operations.
Originally Fog Lamp switch (https://imp.webike.net/article/0434368/) had been installed in this place, but because the operation of Fog Lamp is not performed frequently, the operation of Droreko is given priority and Fog Lamp switch is mastered. It has been moved to the top of the Cylinder (see the third picture in the post).
Switch Harness is for Fog LampSwitch Harness → Wiring along the FrontCameraCable.
The excess Switch Harness is tucked between the Battery and the Air cleaner box, as is the FrontCameraCable.
Incidentally, Camera and Switch are fixed Firmly and removable amon's "Lock fastener. (https://www.webike.net/sd/01353473/) to install it.
Also, the quality of the screw for adjusting the angle of the Camera shot seems to be poor, so the Material:I'm replacing it with a Stainless Steel Screw.
And CameraCable, Switch Harness and Power Connection Harness are available on the Slit tube (https://www.webike.net/sd/24137013/) and Harness tube (https://www.webike.net/sd/) 23394542/) to protect it (the second one and Quantity:1 Set of 4pcs. (See the photo posted in the eye)
The Body is mounted under the Seat using the Band for securing the vehicle tool instead of the included Double-sided Tape to make it easier to remove the Body when plugging and unplugging the SDCard for recording (Quantity:1 Set of 4pcs. (See the photo posted in the eye)
For power, instead of taking it from the standard Battery, I take it from my own Power Outlet Port Harness (https://imp.webike.net/photo/diary/55/1593960580755L.jpg) (it's hard to tell, but Quantity:1 Set of 4pcs. (See the red circle in the photo posted in the eye).
The ACC power supply is also taken from the homemade Power Outlet Port Harness (Quantity):1 Set of 4pcs. (See the blue circle in the photo posted in the eye).
By the way, the Power Outlet Port Harness is connected to the OptionCoupler, which can take always-on power for the Honda OEMOption Alarm (https://imp.webike.net/article/0363136/) and ACC power for the ETC on-board equipment. Quantity:1 Set of 4pcs. (See the yellow circle in the photo posted in the eye).
After installation, use the special app installed in your phone to perform setup (time synchronization, camera angle adjustment, etc.).
If you have someone support the motorcycle while riding it, you can use the special smartphone app to check the images → I think you can adjust the shooting angle smoothly.
Also, you need to turn IgnitionON during setup, but it would be a nuisance to the neighbors to leave Engine on, so I use Charger (https://imp.webike.net/article/0419564/) to charge the Battery instead.
By the way, if you remove the Battery and power is turned off, the settings (date and time, wireless LAN connection PASSWORD, etc.) will be reset.
[Was there anything that disappointed you?
The control switch is difficult to use.
Product Description (https://www.mskw.co.jp/motorcycle/edr/) MotorcycleFirst" for the unique performance of motorcycles. It was developed by. I feel like they don't take into account the fact that you have to wear the Gloves to operate it...
[Was the Instruction Manual easy to understand?
The Instruction Manual is detailed (more than 50 pages in all), but as pointed out in other imprints/reviews, I think there are some confusing parts.
[Included Parts:were they on?
In addition to the Body and Camera (Universalwith Mounting Bracket), it also comes with Switch for operation, Harness for power connection, SDCard (microSDHC 16GB) for recording, etc.
The Mounting Bracket for License Plate and the compatible Adapter for the ActionCam Mount, etc. are optional (https://www.mskw.co.jp/motorcycle/edr/option/).
By the way, the attached SDCard is used for operation check only.
The actual recording is done using a SanDisk High Endurance Type SDCard (microSDXC 128GB) (https://www.google.co.jp/search?q=SDSQQNR-128G-GN6IA).
Do you have any wishes or improvements you would like to make for the Manufacturer?
I would like to see the Switch for control to be improved because it is difficult to use.
[Do you have any products to compare it to?
MITSUBA:Motorcycle DriveRecorder - EDRSeries GPS-mounted MODEL [Drorekos]
This product is made by the same MITSUBA, but it is a MODEL with GPS function.
I wanted to keep the purchase cost down a bit, and I thought it would be useful to have the GPS function (automatic time synchronization and location recording), but I didn't want to have to worry about not having it, so I bought the in-place product without the GPS function.
[Others]
You can only post up to 6 photos to the in-play.
I'd like to post some photos in the diary in the form of additional imprints, which I haven't posted in the main imprints (to be published soon).
* The 23rd Impression Con test. I'm writing the implemento with reference to the Item Template available at (https://www.webike.net/campaign/20201001_impression_contest/).
I think DriveRecorder is a must for Motorcycle.
And there's a high probability that dead people don't talk.
Camera is installed in an inconspicuous place because I don't want to destroy the Style of Z. Rear...Because it becomes ugly by all means when I install it, I choose 1Camera!
It's convenient to be able to play back and save images taken over Wi-Fi on the spot on your phone.View Detail
It's not just a dracula in case of an emergency
Consider a Drorecorder to shoot the person in front of you when touring
Because EDRS series was just sold from MITSUBA, it was considered by MITSUBA
The difference between the EDR-21 and the EDR21G is whether it has GPS or not
Do you need GPS?
There is no Space for free, it's an SS system, so I chose no GPS
Please refer to the picture for mounting points
This product allows you to download video from Body via WiFi, but
Recording in 30-second increments, about 50 MB in 30 seconds at the highest quality
Downloading over WiFi takes nearly 10 seconds
If you don't want to consolidate them all together, you can use
1pc.1pc.Download required
I'd like to see some more improvements
Overall, picture quality OK!View Detail
